Unusual Zilog 09-0004-01 floppy controller for MCZ Z80 development system.
Here is a floppy controller designed by Zilog Inc. in the late 1970s. At first I thought this was an S100 bus controller, until I noticed there are 61 gold-plated connectors on each side on the bottom. This 122-pin edge connector was used in the backplane of Zilog\'s MCZ systems for development around their Z80 processor. Here is a link to configurations of various Zilog MCZ systems. They ran their own operating system, Z80-RIO The winning buyer will receive the exact board pictured here. Zilog\'s part number is 09-0004-01. It looks to be in working condition, but I have no way to test it, or even identify it. It measures 7.75\" wide x 7\" tall. The datecodes on the chips are all from late 1976 or early 1977, but I think the board is newer.I am selling this memory board AS IS, with no return privilege. However, I am happy to answer any questions about this item to the best of my abilities.I also have a Zilog Z80 MCB (microcomputer board) and a MCD (memory disk controller) which I will list here soon.
