Vintage Slo-Syn Paper Tape Reader for DEC PDP 8, PDP 11, CNC. 1967 nos:
$800.00

up for sale is a slow syn tape drive this a New Old Stock vintage unit from 1967 I have the original keys with the original paper tag. you will not find another unit like this in existence this would be great for an old dec Museum.
if you just want the actual tape drive unit or other parts make a offer and list what parts you want out of this.
The used unit that this was a spare for was scrapped. these have aprox 114 white circuit boards.and the recovery for gold and palladium was very good. Buyers around here are offering from 70 cents a pound to $14 a pound depending on how much you know when you try to sell white circuit boards .. having them smelted your self if you do large lots of boards recovery is around $20 a pound. so this unit would be a great investment for a museum.
I will be lowering the price to $1500 sat sep 15th. I would have no problem selling cabinet with tape drive and controls on front but no circuit boards. I would deduct $1000 from the price to keep all the boards.
This is a heavy unit that needs picked up by the buyer from zip 44505. I do not provide shipping use a company like freightquote. we have a dock and will load banded to a standard pallet.
