This is a tiny Black & White thermal-transfer printer, about the size ofa carton of cigarettes, which I used with a Mac PowerBook 170 in a single-layer shoulder bag while traveling abroadin the early ‘90’s.

It saved my butt in Japan by enabling daily worksheetupdates to be printed easily. Thermal-transfer is not high quality compared toinkjet, it was a predecessor to truly portable inkjet, adequate for \"in the field\" work,

and the solution forprint quality “modes” was using two kinds of cartridges: Single Strike (High,one pass) and Multi-Strike (Normal, becoming Draft over time).

If you have vintageApple Macintosh computers from the early to mid-90’s and are interested in aworking companion portable printer thatis a real conversation piece, this is for you.

GCC was an awesome 3rd party Mac printer manufacturer in the late 80\'s and early 90\'s, much like Brother has become today. I am simply downsizingmy stable of gear.

There is a partiallyused Multi-Strike cartridge loose as well as one in the printer, which testedwell and as expected with the same PowerBook 170 just before listing.

This is a “one sheet feed at a time” device.Also included is a brochure from back in the day and a 3rd floppydisk with the driver for the large AC-powered “WideWriter 360” that a colleaguehad.

•Full printed manual and software floppy + backup floppy.

•30 New “ink” cartridges: 15 Single-Strike & 15 Multi-Strike.
