Vintage DEC GT42 Graphic Display System Specifications - July 1974?:
$20.50

This is a 4 physical page, 8 printed side brochuregiven the specifications of theGT42 Graphic Display System - 1974 I believe, although no date is on the brochure.
The first of the GTxx series, it had a 17\" Graphics display with lightpen and 1024x1024 point addressing.
This was FANTASTIC in those days.
I was extremely intimate with the VT11 having spend many days and nights working ona GT44 system with that display processor - writing my dissertation software, which also ran on that machine.
Besides that, it had a totally cool Lunar Lander program ... which I did not get much chance to play.
Note that this\"graphics processor\" would fetch the commands to do the graphic displaysfrom the memory and then execute them, totally without help from the PDP-11 in which it was installed.
Both the GT40, GT42 and GT44 subsystems initially used the VT11, with the GT40 being introduced in 1972.The GT40 and GT42 used the PDP-11/10 processor andthe GT44 used the PDP-11/40.The difference between the GT40 and GT42 was that the latter had a full cabinet and 17\" screen and could be expanded.
The VS60 was a much more powerful processor with a 21\" screen and unfortunately I never got to use one.But it allowed windowing of an 8\' x 8\' virtual drawing on its 21\" screen. All the legwork done by the processor.
If you are going to offer on several of these over a few days, please tell me and I will group them for cheapest shipment.
