Vintage Apple Macintosh Performa 275 / Color Classic II:
$2099.00

I’ve already sold a few Color Classic II systems that I had collected. This is the last Color Classic class system I have; I saved the best for last.

The system had been previously modified to display 640x480 from the original screen resolution; from what I’ve read, this requires a permanent modification to the analog board. I was not able to see the actual modification, but the inside looks very clean last time I opened it. The original sealant between tube neck and videoboard box seems to have been removed, and looks like it was replaced with a new sealant (cream-colored instead of the original dark gray). This could have been done during the modification; it arrived this way to me from Japan.

Software and literature included as shown. Original keyboard was not included, but a brand new model-correct Apple Keyboard II will be included along with the other used Apple keyboard as shown.

Not shown, the original poly bag which the computer will be wrapped inside of when shipped, the original RAM which the previous owner included (has been upgraded with a 32MB stick which will be installed), and the “Energy star” sticker that used to adorn the monitor when brand new now rests inside the Essentials box (it is a small clear sticker, now rolled up and crinkly with age).

Previous owner also upgraded the original hard drive to a 1GB IBM SCSI hard drive. Since the drive is not “blessed” by Apple, it requires a modified version of Apple’s Disk setup software (easily found on the internet, but I can provide a copy) to format the drive and reinstall the OS if you desire to do that. System 7.6.1 is currently installed I believe.

After unplugging and replugging back in, system will chime twice, but only on the first power on from being unplugged. I believe this may be due to the non-blessed hard drive.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
