Vintage Apple Mac Macintosh Performa 6116CD home computer PC complete with box :
$100.00

Made by Macintosh. The model is the Performa 6116CD. I am going to give a very long, but accurate description of the computer. The sale is for everything pictured. I believe that nothing is missing. I have both the original box and the original display box. The box has blemishes but no real structural issues. The box has some stains, scratches, packing tape, and tape residue. Some of the print is no longer eligible because packing tape removed some areas of print. I even have most of the original Styrofoam, the twist ties, and the plastic bags. All of the manuals, floppy disks, and booklets are there. There are a couple issues that I will address. Both the display and the desktop power up with no problems. However, I can\'t get past a screen that pictures a question mark inside of a floppy disk. I don\'t know if it is a hardware or software issue. I\'ve done a little research and could not find a solution. At the moment, I cannot remove a part of the monitor base from the bottom of the monitor. I showed this in the photos to show what I mean. I don\'t think it\'s broken; I think I just don\'t know how to do it. I was afraid to use brute force to remove that piece. I didn\'t want to break the plastic. It needs to come off in order to secure the monitor to the base. You can just rest it on there for now, but it\'s not very secure like that. There are a few cosmetic issues that I will address and show in the photos. All of the cords and hardware are very clean. The keyboard is clean except for some areas underneath the keys. The worst part is under the number keys on the right. There is some kind of brown something under the keys. The keys and shell are all clean. The display is clean and functions but it does have a couple cosmetic blemishes. A majority of the plastic on the display has developed a yellow tint. I don\'t think my photos accurately depicted this. My camera would not pick it up the way I wanted it to. The display is no longer the same shade of grey as the computer. There are some light scratches and other blemishes here and there but nothing serious. The screen is in good shape. There are no cracks and it is clean. There is a small, about an inch long, scratch on the lower left. It is minor and I only really noticed it when my flash was on. There is an area of plastic on the top of the display that looks like it has heat damage. I showed it in the photos. The built in speaker works. The screen adjusters work. I am not sure what the display looked like powered on when it was new, but it appears to look good. It doesn\'t cut off or do anything funny. When the computer powers up, the keyboard lights blink so I know it gets power. Since I can\'t get past the first screen, I cannot test it. One thing I noticed is that when I plug the mouse directly into the computer, the mouse works perfectly. But when I plug the mouse into the keyboard port and plug the keyboard into the computer, the mouse won\'t move. Also, none of the lock keys light up when I push them. I don\'t know if this is related to not fully booting up or if it is another issue. But like I said, they light up when you turn the power on. I am not sure if the modem works. It definitely gets power but there is a rattling noise when you shake it. A small piece of the shell broke off and the case is loose with some slight gapping between the top and bottom. The desktop is clean and all of the ports function. There are some scratches on the top from the monitor base but nothing serious. If you have any questions or would like more photos, just let me know. The bulk of the weight comes from the monitor. The whole package is about 80 pounds and will probably be very expensive to ship. After comparing a couple shipping options, UPS Ground appears to be the cheapest.
