This vintage/ antique1928 York silver-platedtenor sax with goldcolored innerbell is inpretty good shape for its age (See Pics)
I am told this horn was originallyplayed at a local \"Roaring 20\'s\" club called the Rooftop in downtown Waterloo Iowa
Not too many of these around especially in this condition. Serial #93724
The silver platedfinish is in good condition with only a few minor dings and scratches. It doeshave some pitting especially on the upper part of the horn(see pics). The gold colored inner bell is bright and beautiful
The keys all seem to operate although theymay need some tuning & oiling. Not missing any mother of pearl on the keys. It has all the pads and they don\'t look too bad but need to be checked out .I am not a sax player so I cant tell you how it plays
It comes with theoriginal \"York\"case which is in pretty good shape for its age/ latches all work properly. Has some minorscuffs andwear on theoutside( see pics) but overall it is a solid case.
The mouthpiece is a Selmer Goldentone 3 and is in great shape and shows no wear. Also has a ligature andcap. and 3 reeds
A neck strap is included
The engraving on the beautifulbell reads \"York, Grand Rapids Michigan\" and may be silver inlay around the engravingbut I am not sure( see pics)
