Apple IIc - New in Sealed Box!

Up for sale today is very rare find... An Apple IIc and Monitor IIc in the original Factory Sealed cartons.

The Apple IIc outer carton has some storage and handling wear, nothing bad. The interior carton is pristine and sealed with original tape in undisturbed condition. (Please note that the outer carton on these were NOT taped when new... only the inner carton was taped). The carton has some interior discoloration from years of contact with the brown cardboard of the inner carton. This is normal. You can see in the photo how the discoloration is absent where the inner carton tape protected the outer carton from direct contact. The monitor carton is nearly new off the shelf condition. The factory tape is intact both top and bottom.

Please understand that I am making NO ASSURANCES that computer equipment/components of this vintage are even functional. I might go as far as to suggest that you ASSUME some or all of the components do not work. Vintage computer equipment from 40 years ago can develop problems just from sitting... like the lubricant gumming up, capacitor leaks, etc. As the collectibility of these items is compounded by the presence of the factory seal, I am unable to open boxes for testing. As such, I will not accept returns.

If you feel that I have set the price higher than it should be, you may be right. I have been unable to find comparable completed listings for items in this condition. As such, I ask a higher number and learn what the "market will bear" by evaluating offers. I am not in a hurry. Please reach out to me directly with offers or politely expressed opinions.

This is one of many items I will be selling that were purchased from the estate of a former Apple employee who began his 25 year plus career with Apple as a Software Programmer and ended in 2007 as board level executive... vice president actually. The collection includes many very rare items in unusually preserved condition, many still factory sealed. Examples include a new-in-open-box Apple Lisa 2/10, anew-in-open-boxQuadra 840AV, and sealed Powermac 8500 and 8600 computers. (Inquire if interested).

This item will ship only within the 48 contiguous United States via UPS/FEDEX Ground or USPS Ground Advantage for $59.74 flat. The shipping is a little high because I expect to package these items individually in order to provide adequate protection (2 Packages). Local pickup is not only welcome but encouraged. It would be my strong preference to conduct a face to face transaction.
