The Multiserver 20000 handles virtually any asynchronous or synchronous protocol, including DEC VT100™, HP® ENQ/ACK and IBM SNA SDLC. It also supports connections of third-party devices such as LAN bridges and routers.

PBX-like voice/fax switching lets voice/fax users connect to any other compatible channels in the Multiserver network. And async users enjoy the same flexibility thanks to async port switching and contention.

The Multiserver 20000’s Remote Terminal Server option provides a LAN gateway for asynchronous users at remote sites. For LAN/WAN, it’s 802.3 Ethernet Multiport Remote LAN Bridge option provides LAN-to- LAN connectivity.
