Important facts you should know before bid:

This unit is directional, that means it only cover an angle. When use it, you have to point it to the source with the white plastic side, not the metal side. With the USB cable point to the ground, it is a vertical polarized setup. Turn it 90 degrees, it will become horizontal polarized setup.To avoid possible network setting problem, plug it into the laptop, disable the built-in wireless card of the laptop, use it very close to the basestation. Make sure it work, then bring it tothe PC, try again. Turn the unit to different direction, try to get the best effect.

Ifyou need aUSB extensioncable, make sure useour USB "active" extension cable (also known as a USB repeater cable). These cables contains active electronics which boost the USB signal for maximum reliability and performance over extended distances. USB extension cable available in our ebay store, pay only $3.5 shipping cost for each cable shipped with the USB unit.

For other brand activeor passive cable,most of them won'twork on our antennas. Our guarantee on the antenna is void if you use them.

Range test result is based onsame unit on each end, in clear line of sight. Because every application is different, we can' guarantee the result. For long range link(>1Km, or 0.6 mile), we recommend you install external antenna for the router side.

Q: "Do I need a wireless card in the computer to use this antenna?"

A: No, this is a completed solution. This unit is a high gain antenna and the wireless card combo. So all your need is a spare USB port on the computer.

Q: " My laptop has a built-in WIFI adapter, can this antenna boost it?"

A: No, this unit has it's own WIFI adapter. Please disable the built-in card to use this unit.

Q: "I have three computers in my house, how can I use this antenna for all of them?"

A: You can connect this antenna to the computer USB port only. It is designed for one computer.

However, you can use it for internet sharing. Connect it to a PC,this PC(you connect this antenna on) must have another Network card. Connect that card to the router, bridge the two cards, you should be able to share the internet connection to other computers. Maybe there's more IP address setup. Due to the different model of computers and routers, we can't provide further support on this issue.

Q: "Can Iconnect this antennato the router?"

A: No, there's a WIFI adapter built-in in the antenna. You can't connect it directly on the router. We can supply directional antenna, sector antenna or Omni antenna and the coax cabletothe router. Q: "What's the chipset of the wireless card and who is the manufacturer?" A:The chipset is RT2500 from Ralink, we can provide the driver for Linux, MAC or Windows Vista. Q: "Which active USB cable should I choose, the USB 1.1 or USB 2.0?" A: The WIFI card is USB 2.0, soyou should use a USB2.0 cable, it provide higher data speed. Only ifyou need to use more than three cables, then you have to use a USB1.1 cable, you may use up to five of them together. Q: "Can I installthis antenna for my desktop computer?" A: Yes, it's for any computer, as long as it has a spare USB port.
