The best (and really only) way to get your CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certification is to learn on Cisco equipment. There is nothing that compares to hands-on experience with your own Cisco equipment. With this kit, you can study and learn at your own pace. This is a great kit with features that both the beginning student who is studying for the CCNA and the advanced students working on their CCNP and/or CCIE will appreciate. Other kits may give you some 'generic' software or say 'Enterprise Software' without any information on the IOS features. Cisco has released literally hundreds of IOS varieties for these routers, with the majority only allowing very basic router functions. You should ask the sellers of those high priced Cisco kits exactly what functions their IOS supports (if they know at all), then compare that with the IOS software functions listed here.
