The best (and really only) way to get your CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certification is to learn on Cisco equipment. There is nothing that compares to hands-on experience with your own Cisco equipment. With this kit, you can study and learn at your own pace. This is a great kit with features that both the beginning student who is studying for the CCNA and the advanced students working on their CCNP and/or CCIE will appreciate. When I was beginning my Cisco training, I had a difficult time getting the right equipment and especially the required IOS software for my studies. Then I saw the outrageous prices other sellers were charging for questionable Cisco equipment (with obsolete IOS software) that no student could constructively use. Sure, you can buy Cisco hardware everywhere on Ebay, and most of the auctions will state 'Untested', 'No way to test this item' or, the one I am particularly fond of, 'Removed from a working environment'. Over the years, we have discarded more than two dumpsters full of this type of equipment that was defective. Yes, the 'environment' may have been working, but that particular piece of equipment might not have (why do you think a business would have removed it?). Before listing, we scrutinize each piece of Cisco equipment, then run it through a full range of tests to ensure you won't get bad equipment.

The most important thing that you, as a buyer should look for in any kit (including mine), is the Cisco IOS Operating System(s) that are supplied, (and the router functions that each will allow). With any kit, you either get the IOS image(s) you will need for your full range of studies included with the equipment or pay ($$$$$) to Cisco. Other kits may give you some 'generic' software or say 'Enterprise Software' without any information on the IOS features. Cisco has released literally hundreds of IOS varieties for these routers, with the majority only allowing very basic router functions. You should ask the sellers of those high priced Cisco kits exactly what functions their IOS supports (if they know at all), then compare that with the IOS software functions listed here. After completing all of the Cisco studies ourselves, we know what is required, and strive to provide you with the widest range of functions that you will need for your CCNA/CCNP/CCIE studies, pre-loaded on this equipment.
