Many current telephones dissipate some ADSL (Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line) signals and pick up the signals as background noise. The telephone impedance change within the ADSL band interrupts the ADSL signals. Your RadioShack ADSL Filter blocks high-freqency ADSL signals, eliminating potential noise pickup. The filter also prevents telephone impedance within the ADSL band from changing and interrupting hte signal.
