REPLICA MINI RETRO S100 ALTAIR 8800 Computer ARDUINO CLONE

For sale is a true emulator (clone) of the original MITS ALTAIR 8800computer. It uses an ARDUINO DUE to faithfully emulate a 2Mhz Intel8080 CPU which was used the MITS system. The Arduino Due is an impressive32-bit 84Mhz system on a chip which provides for the full 8080\'s 64K RAM space as well as ROM storage. Itruns open sourced code developed and is fully supported online. Comes with a micro SD slot, audio jack, Bluetooth or serial port.

The original Altair front panel was a rack mount 4U approximately 16 by 6.5 inches. This replica is 10 (254mm) by 4.75 (120mm) inches. Please see photo for a comparison with the original.

Included is a pre-programmed micro SD card which come pre-loadedwith programs such as CPM2.2, Zork and MSBASIC. It can also run Kill-the-Bit, Othello, StarTrekand other games. The use of the two AUX switches selects the many functions and even includes an interactive on screen 8080 assembly language debugger.

Comes ready to plug and go. Needs only a USB cable and 9-12V power adapter which are not included. Will need to use a terminal emulation program on a PC or an actual terminal if available. TeraTermis provided although there are many other free online terminal emulators available as well. This item is a complete, tested and burned-in ALTAIR 8800 clone, a programmed Arduino Due and a SDcard with documentation and many ALTAIR programs.
