QNAP TS-209 Pro II Turbo NAS is an all-in-one, high performance NAS server designed for storage-hungry modern business and SOHO users to save, back up, manage, and share data. It also satisfies the need of modern business for centralized data management and brings more value-added features.

QNAP leads the 2-bay NAS industry by adopting the high performance 500MHz CPU and 256MB DDRII memory in TS-209 Pro II. The performance of the NAS is completely boosted. TS-209 Pro II supports multiple simultaneous accesses to the services across Windows, Mac, Linux and Unix. Windows AD authentication is also supported to lower the maintenance cost of the user accounts.

TS-209 Pro II inherits the excellent Linux-embedded design of TS-209 to provide a reliable and virus-free operation environment. The HDD S.M.A.R.T. is offered to provide complete information of the hard drive status and prevent potential physical drive failure. The comprehensive log system of the NAS summarizes the detailed data access records and connection status. All errors and warning messages can also be sent to the administrator by e-mails for efficient maintenance.

TS-209 Pro II provides numerous (12-in-1) value-added functions for modern business and SOHO users. You can use the built-in phpMyAdmin, Joomla!, MySQL/ SQLite web server to create interactive web sites. A maximum of 3 USB printers are supported for printer server function. Various data storage and management mechanisms are supported, e.g. FTP server with SSL/TLS encrypted technology, SSH login, and web page SSL login to enable users to transfer, store, and share data securely. TS-209 Pro II provides the most complete backup solution for secure data protection with the professional backup software: NetBak Replicator. You can select Auto-Sync/ Instant/ Schedule backup modes to back up the data on multiple Window PCs. The encrypted Remote Replication and RAID 1 disk mirroring ensures exclusive data protection.

RAID-1 Mirroring with Hot-swap Design
The Turbo NAS supports RAID 1 Mirroring for non-stop service and easy maintenance. When data crash occurs, the administrator can be alerted by e-mail alarm and LED indication. The hard disk drive can be replaced by hot swapping without turning off the server. The intelligent data rebuilding capability allows users to replace a failed drive by hot-swap. This enables automatic data rebuilding to the new drive without suffering from any system downtime.

S.M.A.R.T. & Advanced HDD Health Scanning (HHS)
The Turbo NAS supports Hard Disk Drive S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) which enables users to monitor the status of hard disk drive and check the potential problems. This tool helps to prevent the unexpected failure of hard disk and avoid critical data loss. Moreover, the NAS is embedded with HHS Technology which supports disk checking and bad blocks scanning.

Comprehensive event log system

When a USB device such as digital camera, digital camcorder, or pen drive is connected to the front panel USB port, data in the USB device can be backed up to the Turbo NAS automatically by simply pressing the USB copy button. In the meantime, an external storage device can be connected to the Turbo NAS via USB port for alternative data backup.

UPS support
The key function of UPS is to provide the power for a period of time during power failure. The Turbo NAS supports both APC and MGE UPS devices which help users store the data in time and avoid critical data loss when power outage occurs during data transfer.
