Matay Prometheus PCI bus boardin excellent cosmetic and working condition. Only the busboard and power pigtail, no OEM mounting brackets (sorry, did not come with them when I bought it).

Included in the sale:

  • 2 Voodoo 3 3000 PCI video cards, both working. One is New Old Stock; the other, just a used one I picked up, but both in excellent shape
  • An STB Permedia 2 based PCI video card. Never used, as I acquired the Voodoo 3 before I ever got to try it out. Assume working, but unknown condition
  • A New Old Stock Gloria Elsa Synergy Permedia 2 based PCI video card. Same thing, never tried it out, but assume it works
  • Assorted 90 degree adapters for various expansion card mounting options
  • A short ribbon cable HD-15 VGA extension cable
  • Two Vantec PCI slot cooling fans

Selling this as I recently sold my A4000T setup here on . Had thisworking in tandem with my Picasso IV. Super easy to get up and running; just load the libraries and go. It was really nice to have the speed and 16MB VRAM for high resolution Workbench screens.

The Voodoo3 3000 gets warm in use, but it is specifically the voltage regulator on the upper left near the PCI bracket that gets unusually hot. You definitely want some airflow over the component side of the card (hence the Vantec fans...).

The only real downside to the Prometheus is the masochistic design of the card itself. Without the original custom mounting bracket... :( I tried numerous ways of securing the card, but was never really satisfied with any of them. Other than that, a cool piece of hardware, and fairly rare.

The scrollingbenchmarks in P96Speed are insanely fast, and just about everything else is over the top as well.

Libraries and drivers are available on the internet but I can also email the latest versions to the sale winner.
