I really enjoyed PogoPlug when they were around. But alas, they are gone now. I have/had several units over the years hooked up to all matter of external hard drives and drive enclosures. Look for some of the other units to be listed.
I know some versions of PogoPlug devices can be modified to run Linux. I am not sure if this is one or not? But if you are a fan of old tech, this could be yours! I unearthed this unit the other day and have no use for it, I use other services now. You might?
