Powers up fine. The density filter over the display is missing. I think I have seen it in the lab somewhere. If I find it, I'll put it in the box.

The viewfinder looks fine. (see pic)

This instrument has a built in calibration source (I think) and a selector knob to measure the red or blue part of the spectrum. I think this was for doing NVIS display measurements. One could ratio the amount of red and blue energy to compute the relative attenuation of the red and IR light coming from the display. Last I heard, the UK forces still use the blue-red ratio method. In theUS the standard is MIL-L-85762A or theSAE equivalent.

Anyways, there is also a photometer filter, so it can measure luminance as well.

: The lens is an MS60. I found the ND filter which goes over the display. It says FOOT LAMBERTS at the bottom of the filter. It fits nicely over the display, but there must be a gasket still missing as there is nothing to hold the filter in place. I suppose it could be glued down. I'll include this NDfilter in the shipment.
