The original hard drive has beenreplaced with amassive new 320 GB hard drive (yes a 320GB hard drive, this is not a typo!). The stock 512MB on-board memory (RAM) has been removed and2 GB of RAM (Panasonic recommendsreturning the unitto the factory to increase this internal memory above the stock 512MB!) has been installed in its place. The total amount of ram can be increased to4GB by simply unscrewing the 4 screws on the memory cover or simply request the upgrade from us at the time of purchase.Note that the a 2GB module from Panasonic costs $450 for the module alone!

As this Toughbook was kitted out with the Stock internal Panasonicinternal bluetooth system, we put As together a convenient package that includes a sensitive iZyCast SiRF StarIII Bluetooth GPS Receiverwhich operates extremely well with the CF-19 unit. It receives remarkably well with the receiver's -159 dBm WAAS capable receiver. This arrangement for travel is probably better than the Panasonic internal GPS receiver as this little GPS can be put in the dash of your vehicle. The stock Panasonic GPSantenna locatedjust offthe rear right side of the unit cannot be oriented favorably for optimum satellite reception. This unit however, can be oriented to the most favorable angle for maximum signal reception in direct view of the satellites. What is the difference between the CF-19 Touchscreen and the CF-19 Digitizer?The Digitizer can do handwriting to text and digital signature, it also requires the use of the digitizing pen that comes with the laptop and cannot be used with any other stylus or your fingers.The Touchscreen cannot do handwriting to text and digital signature capturing out of the box, although there are several software providers that will allow any touchscreen monitor to convert handwriting to text. The touchscreen can be used with the stylus or your fingers and many other things beside the stylus that comes with the unit.
