A very nice Infrant ReadyNas X6 Network Attached Storage drive. I purchased this drive new a couple years ago, and am upgrading so no longer need it. It contains four 300 Gb Seagate 7200.8 SATA drives that were recently wiped, and is running RAIDiator firmware version 4.01c1-p1. It's in excellent condition and has no operational problems.

The X6 uses a proprietary X-RAID developed by Infrant. It automatically reconfigures itself as drives are added. All the four drive slots are full in this one, so in order to increase the capacity, you'd need to replace the existing disks.

I've used it as a file server, an iTunes server, and also to stream to a SqueezeBox. It was great for all these purposes. It includes a USB port so that you can do backups of the NAS to an external disk. You can also back up over the network. The ethernet port it has is gigabit ethernet.

The fan is louder than the newer NetGear models, and does tend to collect some dust on the front grill. That's really the only complaint I've had with this NAS. Overall it's a nice product that works well.
