Corning Cable Systems’ NI-2006 Network Interface Device (NID) houses from one to six patented Protected Terminating Device(PTD) modules in one weather-resistant enclosure for both indoor and outdoor applications.

The PTD module provides overvoltage protection and termination in one compact, modular unit, combining line protection, line test electronics, environmentally sealed insulation displacement telco terminations, subscriber bridge, and RJ-11 test jack.
