Platform independent: ethernet interface is compatible with Macintosh OS 8 or higher including Mac OS X, unix, Linux and Windows 95/98SE/2000/NT/Me and X. USB interface is compatible only with Windows 98SE/2000/NT/Me and XP. You may qualify for a discounted monthly service rate if you provide your own DOCSIS-compliant cable modem: ask your local cable provider is such a discount is available.
