This auction is for a used Motorola Surfboard SB5120 cable modem. It's in very good cosmetic condition and includes the cable modem, a copy of the installation CD and the power supply adapter as pictured. If it is not in the picture it is not included in the auction. It can connect to a single computer through a USB cable if you don't have a network connection jack on your computer. There is no network or USB cable included with this auction. We have multiple SB5120 modems so the CD is a copy and the modems are all in similar condition so we are using the identical picture for all our SB5120 auctions.Before purchasing this cable modem, call your cable ISP high speed support and maker sure that this model of cable modem works with their system and that this modems serial number of 06634JP74MF5 and MAC address of 00159A372D9C is usable on their system. This modem was purchased in an area serviced by COX cable so if it is locked, most likely it is to a COX account but we have no way of knowing for sure what cable ISP it may have been used on.This modem is compatible with almost all Cable service providers but you must verify that it is a supported cable modem model with your ISP prior to bidding or buying. Some cable internet providers keep modems 'locked' to a previous users account unless the customer has requested that it is removed. Most people never have their previously used modems removed from their account since they don't know about it still being tied to their account even if the ISP knows they are now using a different modem. It helps the ISP to continue to make money on modem rentals. After receiving this cable modem, you must call your cable ISP and give them the MAC address that is found on the modem before your ISP will allow you to connect to the internet.Please ask any questions prior to bidding or buying.
