PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE offerDING!!!

This an LG WH16NS40 VERY lightly used from my personal system. It came from the factory with firmware 1.03.With 1.03 installed, these drives are not able to read a 4K disc (I believe to further the anti-piracy movement). I have rolled back the firmware to the last version that makes this drive capable of reading 4K discs - version 1.02.

Please note I guarantee this drive will function as a regular blu ray drive and regular DVD drive and will additionally READ a 4K disc. 4K was developed with a huge amount of anti-piracy built into it, so PLAYING a 4K disc on your PC has a huge list of requirements. I CANNOT guarantee you will be able to plug this in and play 4K on your PC. Unless you have purposefully set out to do so I can almost guarantee this alone will NOT play a 4K disc to your PC, but it will READ them, therefore with additional software canprovide youoptions to decrypt, rip, burn, etc.

Pic #4 proves the drive reads a 4K disc. It shows the 4K disc cover next to my pc screen, with the LG drive set as Drive Y. Note the movietitleand the size of the disc at 58.4GB, regular blu rays max out at 50GB. (PLEASE NOTE, the 4K movie pictured here is NOT included in this sale!)

What you see is what you get, just the drive. No original box, cables, software, or mounting hardware.
