This item is intended for fresh installation, upgrade or downgrade existing OS X. (Pick one from the drop down) If you don\'t know or aren\'t sure feel free to ask me and give me the model if known, and year of your Macintosh PC.
Please Remember: You cannot downgrade to an older version than the version of OS X than it originally came with..
- Each USB installer is checked for boot ability by humans.
- If your hard drive is damaged and you replaced new hard drive, you will need this OSX Installer USB to install a fresh copy of OSX.
- If you don\'t like the current version of OS X installed and wish to reinstall a fresh installation.
- Downgrade to a prior version that is still compatible with your mac style=\"font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;\">
- Power off your Mac
- Insert USB and then Power on your Mac
- Immediately press and hold the Option key until the Startup Drive Folders show up
- Once the Startup Drive Folders show up, selectInstall OS X (could say different, just press enter)
- It should take a few minutes to load and you\'ll get to OS X Utilities
- If you are upgrading your existing OS X, then select Install OS X.
- If you have a new drive, then select Disk Utility to partition & format the drive before OS X Installer can use it.
- If you have a Time Machine Backup you want to restore, then select that and attach your back up drive.

Q: I plug the USB drive into my PC and open it and there\'s nothing on the USB drive at all.
A: You won\'t see anything, this is not for use in Windows. The drive is built using Macintosh Journal File System, Windows cannot read it. You need to learn how to get your PC to boot up with just the USB drive. Go to tonyosx86 dotcom and search up Unibeast.
Q: How difficult is it to install, if I have never built a Hackintosh before?
A: It can be easy if you have the hardware that is popular within the Hackintosh community or very hard if you have outdated hardware and no knowledge of how to re-partition hard drives. Important to go to various Hackintosh community sites to look up guides with your hardware to get a step by step install.
Q: Will this upgrade a previously installed Hackintosh?
A: Yes, it can but it depends on how knowledgeable you are with Hackintosh. If you don\'t know the answer before hand it is unlikely you will be able to safely upgrade without doing a full clean install. So backup your data.
