IBM vintage computers mainframe field engineering manual. For "Switch Unit 2914-1, System Diagrams VOL 1" Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. I've been a passionate collector for years. Recently during a renovation of our datacenter. I discovered a small room, one that had been locked for as long as anyone could remember. I opened that room and was amazed to discover a true "Time capsule". One full of IBM engineering manuals from an ancient age. In 1971 the Iron Curtain was up and the Cold War was running hot. NASA was hard at work on the Apollo program and IBM "Big Blue" was still selling "Big Iron". And manuals like these were used for field troubleshooting. The manual shows all the logic, flow charts, FRUs and other trouble shooting information including system diagrams. Also the size is nice and large and the pages could be removed for framing. And there rare , I don't use that term lightly. Was so rare? Well they were supposed to be turned into IBM for destruction once the unit was retired. Few have survived. I have donated a few to my local computer museum, kept a few and now I've decided some of these artifacts belong in the hands of passionate collectors like my self. In short they are simply to rare to keep all of them in my personal collection. The condition is fair to good. The pages are bright with little staining. Remember this item is over 49 years old!
