DROBO rock! Your data will be safe and secure.Brand Spanking New! It was opened to make sure it is complete and to run a test of all the drive bats. The unit was tested with 5 units of 3TB SATA WD RED drives and it set up a raid (actually beyond raid!). The drives were then pulled and it was boxed as we got it. It is of course mint! :) NO DRIVES ARE INCLUDED.
The Drobo is fully functional and in NEW condition (NOS) with the latest firmware installed. (This was done when testing the unit). On very nice thing is it loads new firmware as needed automatically if you tell it to during the setup. The Drobo FS is about thesimplest network attached storage you can buy. Insert ANY size SATA drives and Drobo does the rest to provide data redundancy and network attached storage for Macs and PCs. There\'s a large number of3rd party apps that are freely available on the web to extend the Drobo\'s capabilities.
