$50.00

This is an actual Cray X-MP Supercomputer Board, a real processor module, with a factory certificate.
It\'s fairly large 9 by 5 inches and quite hefty, as its made with lots of copper for cooling. This is an actual part that was likely in multiple computers, as when one of these modules needed repair it was replaced, sent back to Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin for repair, and then put into a different computer.A small number of them were later boxed up and given to clients and politicians as a thank you gift. This one was meant to go to a specific person, but that person retired before it could be sent.
The Cray X-MP was launched in 1982 and sold well up to 1988, when the Cray Y-MP was started. It was the first multiprocessor supercomputer. It was designed by Steve Chen.
It is approximately 9 by 5 inches. It would make a great display, as its has chips on both sides.Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
