This sale's purpose is to bring a classic but neglected machine to a new user and let them enjoy the wonderful world of the commodore Amiga. This is my A2000 and the only reason I am parting with it is that I have another one I use every day and this one has sat in my cupboard for the last 18 months. I'd rather not hoard it when it can go to someone who will cherish and use it every day. Up for consideration is a groovy Commodore Amiga 2000. Ithas Kickstart 3.1 in ROM. The board is Rev 6.2 with 1MB of Chip RAM. There is an 020 Accelerator inside which adds 4MB of Fast RAM. It used to have a SCSI card in it but I removed that as it was getting a bit flaky and put in a nice brand new IDE4Zorro2 card .This is an amazing new card that can drive 4 IDE devices. I put in an 8GB CF card which has been partitioned into 2 4GB drives. Workbench 3.1 was then installed from my set of disks (not included in the sale) via the internal floppy drive and the system now boots into Workbench from the CF card. No more failing old SCSI drives to worry about! Plus you can attach more IDE devices like CD-ROMs etc. and they are so much easier to source than SCSI ones.One quirk I have noticed is that the second floppy drive does not work with the IDE card fitted. I figure it must be a 'feature' of this new card. Perhaps it will be fixed in a future update. You don't really need two floppy drives really though since the machine is not booting from them. Apart from the 020 card this machine also comes with an Indivision card fitted. This allows you to use a modern LCD screen on the Amiga as can be seen from the photos. This really makes life a lot easier since you don't have to worry about finding old monitors that will connect to the original video port anymore. The battery was removed from the motherboard ages ago and there is not battery damage. I ran two wires from the board and attached a coin battery adapter and amazingly it still showed the correct date and time after 12+ months of being switched off when I last booted it up to swap the drive cards. The noisy fan in the power supply was replaced as well. The machine case is in good condition with the odd scuff here and there. It is a great time to get an Amiga 2000. There is anaccelerator card being produced called the Vampire that fits inside thismachine with an adapter. It will provide blistering speeds, fast file accessand improved graphics. Plus the A2000 has plenty of room inside for otherthings. It is truly a great workhorse and probably the most durable of theAmiga range.

The Machine comes with a keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is in amazing condition and looks like new. The whole machine is a really nice example of an Amiga that is up and running out of the box. The LCD MONITOR is NOT Included unless you use the Buy-It-Now price in which case I will throw it in as a thank you.

At the time of writing this machine appears to be working as far as I described. However since this is a vintage computer it will besold AS-IS. No returns. Please understand that before you offer and don’t offerunless you intend to buy.

The item will be packed securely in a nice box so that it arrives in the condition you see it today and shipped anywherein the US(lower 48) by UPS for the flat fee of $90 . There is a $200 surcharge for AK or Hawaii due to the high cost of shipping this size of box there.
