This sale is to help a local computer club clear it\'slarge inventory that was stored at a location belonging to long time member whorecently passed away. His storage was the sanctuary to a lot of Commodorehardware, mainly Amigas and with his passing comes the task of moving all thestuff. I have been tasked with trying to find a home for the machines and raisesome money for the club. By offerding and winning you can provide a loving home toan orphan classic computer and give it andyou a new lease of life! These machines live to serve you and take you backto a simpler time. A time where there was no internet and if you wanted to findout what your friends were doing, you would call them on a phone that wasattached to the wall.Up for consideration today we have a nice Commodore Amiga 2000. Ithas Kickstart 2.04 in ROM. The board is Rev 4.3 with 1MB of Chip RAM. Also fitted is an 030 Accelerator with 4MB Ram.

Popping off the cover I could see the battery had been removed. No damage to the motherboard was seen. Someone ran some wires from the battery connectors so you can fit a coin battery off the motherboard if you want to preserve the date and time when you switch it off. That\'s all the battery does.

Machine boots to Kickstart. There is a hard drive sat in the 5.25\" bay but there is no SCSI card in this machine. You will need an A2091 or similar if you want to use a hard drive. There are two floppy drives but they are in real need of attention. I almost was successful in booting to Workbench from floppy but the drive made a lot of grinding noises and read errors. With all older drives it probably needs some cleaning and alignment. Inside the machine looks very clean indeed. The case on this one is in surprising good condition with no yellowing and has very few of the usual scrapes you find on these old machines.

This is a nice system overall but again it needs a hard drive controller and some TLC to the floppy to get it booting your OS. That 030 gives it a nice extra boost and sets it apart from a lot of similar models.

It is a great time to get an Amiga 2000. There is anaccelerator card being produced called the Vampire that fits inside thismachine with an adapter. It will provide blistering speeds, fast file accessand improved graphics. Plus the A2000 has plenty of room inside for otherthings. It is truly a great workhorse and probably the most durable of theAmiga range.

The Machine comes with a keyboard and tank mouse. The MONITOR is NOT Included. It was used to show machine working. The keyboard is nice and unyellowed and has an extra long cable so you can sit way back from the machine if you want to.

At the time of writing this machine appears to be working100% to the Kickstart screen as shown in the photos. However since this is a vintage computer it will besold AS-IS. No returns. Please understand that before you offer and don’t offerunless you intend to buy.

The item will be packed securely in a nice box so that it arrives in the condition you see it today and shipped anywherein the US(lower 48) by UPS for the flat fee of $80 . There is a $200 surcharge for AK or Hawaii due to the high cost of shipping this size of box there.
