Whenever there’s a failure on one of the connected Ethernet segments, the repeater effectively closes access to the failed link, enabling data traffic on the remaining segment to continue unaffected. When the problem is resolved, the repeater reactivates the connection automatically. Special features—built right in.
Repeaters with BNC connectors feature user-selectable manual termination, so you can attach your network segment directly without a T-connector and a separate terminator. UTP models with RJ-45 connectors automatically detect and correct reversed polarity. And every repeater includes two extra 10BASE-T RJ-45 ports. Choose fiber models for extra-long distances.
The benefit of any repeater is the extra distance it adds to your LAN. But for really long-range links between coax or twisted-pair segments, use our fiber optic repeaters and run cable up to 1.2 miles (2 km). Available with SC or ST connectors.
