Installation this Atheros Mini PCI Card on most computers is a snap (though it takes a little longer on computers where the mini PCI slot is under the keyboard). Installation amounts to unplugging the two antenna wires, pushing two clip levers, lifting the card up, removing it, snapping the two antenna wires on the new card, and snapping the new card back in place. It took no more than 5 minutes. If your laptop has one wire cable for the internal antenna, You can plug on either port.

Please check compatibility with your laptop. These cards should work in the mini PCI slot in most new laptops, but I do not guarantee that it will be compatible with yours. Returns will be handled in the form of an identical replacement card. Recently HP, Compaq and IBM have implemented a BIOS lock that is intended to force you to buy your card from them.

Here is how to isntall the Atheros Mini Pci into your Laptop (The pictures are took from the Dell Latitude C610)

Shut down the Laptop completely and remove the AC plug. Flip the laptop up-side-down. And Remove The battery from the Laptop.

Remove the screws holding the cover located on the bottom of the Laptop.
Snap on the two antenna cables into the plug you should feel the click when snap on properly. In case you have only one antenna, you can snap on either port.(Becareful at this step. If you're not doing it right, you can damage the antennas plugs or the mini pci card's ports). Insert the card at 30 degrees angle and press the card down.

The Two holding arms should gently snap on to secure the Mini Pci Card.
