Atari Falcon 030 4MB/80MB in RARE Original Box w/ Software Bundle & Accessories:
$2499.99

Super clean, ultra rare Atari Falcon 030 4MB/80MB in the matching serial number original box.
This is probably one of the nicest, most complete Falcons in existence outside of museums or private collection circles.
This Falcon was pampered throughout its life, being kept in the original box when it was no longer being used by the original owner. There is a punctured seal over one of the bottom screws, so I assume this Falcon has been opened up at some point. When I acquired this machine, I cleaned it off with a soft, damp cloth and blew out ports and crevices with compressed air, and got into tight spaces with a soft toothbrush to loosen dirt and get it cleaned up properly. It\'s in very nice cosmetic condition overall with minor signs of use and wear. The original outer box shows wear, and one side has a small tear/puncture in it, but overall it\'s still very clean and structurally sound.
There are tons of loose 3.5 floppy software disks included, some are Atari, some are aftermarket software, and some are homemade software disk copies and hard drive backups with handwritten labels specifying their contents. The second photo shows all the loose disks. The very very rare Sequencer One software is still factory sealed with the original VHS tape (probably the only one left in existence in that condition). The Paint software box has been opened and has 3 disks in it and is in really nice, super clean condition.
See the first photo for all the various bits and pieces included in this bundle--it includes a mouse, a plugin joystick/mouse adapter switch, the original box, a ST Video Adaptor still in original packaging, cable, original box, inner styrofoam, and small inner box, and the Falcon itself. Note: The Falcon Speed box is empty but there are a couple loose Falcon Speed disks. There is also an empty package for an Atari brand video cable adapter, but no adapter.
The Falcon powers up as it should when plugged in and switched on. I don\'t have a proper monitor to fully test it or to see what (if any) kind of OS it is running, but if/when I can find the right kind of monitor and cable, I will update this listing with photos and description. For now though, all I know is that it powers on and I don\'t offer any guarantees of any functionality beyond power up (see last two photos of the green power light and the orange 3.5 drive status light upon power up). I can hear the hard drive spin up, then go back down, and spin up again, so I would assume the hard drive is on its last legs (Best Electronics sells an excellent Compact Flash adapter kit for $40 that is custom made for the Falcon). The tactile response of the keys feels a little \"mushy\"-- the space bar in particular. It doesn\'t spring back as crisply as I\'d expect it to. Then again, I\'m comparing it to my old mechanical Chicony 5181, so I probably am being a little too judgmental of the humble Atari keys, but I wanted to note the current feel of the keys for the next owner as part of the condition description.
Overall, this is an incredibly rare unit in very nice cosmetic condition, and I\'m really happy that it\'s going to find a new home where it can be used, enjoyed, and appreciated. This will be the centerpiece of any computer, videogame, or retro tech collection, and the fact that it has the original box and all the extra accessories is really the cherry on top and puts this over most, if not all of, the other Falcons that are still in existence in the wild.
This entire bundle will ship FREE and is being sold as-is, due to the rarity, age, and the nature of an old computer like this.
If you have any questions about this old bird, feel free to reach out. I\'d love to help out any serious buyers who have inquiries.
If you\'re still reading this, please consider following my store--being in the Bay Area near Silicon Valley, I come across a lot of rare and collectible retro tech when I\'m out and about, and I\'ve shipped and sold lots of rare items to collectors, enthusiasts, and even museums all over the world. I\'d love to find something you\'re looking for!
Thanks for checking out my listing!
