Up for sell is an Atari 1050 disk drive with \"Happy\" Enhancement.This is for the Atari 1050 disk driveandpower supply. No other cables. No monitor. The drive head has been cleaned. I\'ve included non-originalcopies of DOS 4.1 and Happy 7.10 (both pictured).Please read the \"Condition description\".
Note:I was able to format a disk and duplicatea disk with this drive.Atari released the more reliable, enhanced density (130 KB) 1050 drive with the introduction of the Atari 1200XL. The 1050 Enhancement (aka \"Happy\" Drive) is a plug-in board and can be installed without soldering or permanent modification. In addition to the buffered reading and writing with zero latency and faster serial i/o, it supported true double density (180 KB). The serial I/O of the 1050 Happy was faster than the 810 Happy due to the faster speed of the 6502 processor that replaced the on-board 6507.I was able to boot to the 4.1 DOS screen and to the game Zombies (not included).

This is being sold as is for parts with no refunds due to some dishonest people will swap out parts and then say the drive didn\'t work.
