Atari 1040STE Vintage 1980’s computer

As per photos is fully tested and in working condition.

Monitor is NOT included. Shown only demonstrate computer is in working order with modern VGA 15khz capable monitor

What is Included:

Atari 1040STe computer, US version. The STE is an enhanced version of the Atari ST that includes a “blitter” chip as well as improved graphics, sound capabilities, and enhanced joystick ports compatible with Atari Jaguar controllers. While this Atari STE is marked as a 1040STe, it has been upgraded to the maximum of 4MB of RAM.

The video shows the game Rox Zero that uses the enhanced features of the Atari STE

The STe while not rare in the US,it is much less common than the original Atari ST’s.

OS has been upgraded to the Max ofTOS 2.06. If you would prefer TOS1.62, please let me know when you place the order.

The power supply has been tested working with proper voltage output

Atari video to VGA adapter Thisworks with 15khz capable monitors in color mode. Switch between color and monochrome using ajumper. In monochrome mode it works withmost if not all VGA capable monitors.

Fully tested and working 720kbfloppy disk drive installed if you want to experience the nostalgia of popping floppy disks into the disk drive.Included is a copy of Dungeon Master on floppy disk.

PS/2 Mouse adapter and compatible mouse

Tested with an external hard drive and DMA is fully functional

Cosmetically, it is used, but in great condition with minimal yellowing. Some minor dings and scratches.

The motherboard and RF shielding are to be in good shape per photos.

I have used this Atari extensively and it functions very well.

This is a vintage computer and you will be receiving the computer as shown in the photos.However, given the age of these electronics, it is sold as is as I cannot guarantee its long-term durability.
