This system has been stored for a long time. We are on a rescue mission, trying to clear out our garage. The battery may need to be replaced or rebuilt. We are not sure if that is the only issue. We offer it as anon-working unit for a collector of vintage computers.
This was the first \"laptop\" made by Apple. As far as condition, we noted the following flaws:some discoloration, especially on the space bar. It has some scuffs and scratches and some surface wear. There are no visible scratches on the screen. The side cover is missing. Pleasenote that whole system could use a thorough cleaning.
We are including the original black case is missing the shoulder strap and has a foot missing. The case has some scuffs and wear. There is some paint on thezipper tabs on thebag zipper.The Apple logo on the case has a markor some glue on it.
We are including a battery and a power supply. We are also including a modem card.
When we plugged the Portable in, we could hear a repeating noise coming from the system. We did not leave it plugged in to try to charge it.
