These tools are used to insert and extract wires into networking panels, computer pins for serial port connectors and other places where a single wire or pin has to be inserted or extracted from an electrial device. The devices were made by AMP Corporation, AMP was purchased by Tyco Electronics. I contacted TYCO and received this reply"This tool can probably still be used. The current part number is 91285-1". The TYCO tools are the one in the plastic tubes with instruction sheets and are unused. The two silver or metal ones are used and have AMP stamped on a round plastic button that looks like some kind of light.

All 6 tools have a sliding wire attachment tip that guides the wire or pin into its desired location.

I got these tools when the Computer Networkingdivision I was work at was sold and closed its doors. I was allowed in to take anything left over after other divisions had taken what they wanted.
