1984 Apple Macintosh Original 128K M0001 Mac MOTHERBOARD Repair or Display, NICE:
$79.84

1984 Macintosh early original 128K RAM motherboard from Model M0001 first Mac, date stamped 1983 with early ceramic CPU. Later revision 128K boards were date stamped 1983-84, and could be configured from the factory with either 128K or 512K RAM, this is the early original 128K only version. RAM chips all have Apple logo.
Board is very nice and clean, undamaged. Has less common early ceramic CPU. When last tested with good ROM chips installed this board displayed a common RAM error with Sad Mac when powered on, so likely needs RAM chip/s replaced to work again. No guarantees as replacing RAM requires soldering in new chips to the board which requires specialized skill and great care, which is solely at buyer's own risk, and of course given the age there could be other issues. The original socketed ROM chip set was previously removed as shown, so it will also need working Mac ROM chips installed to use, in addition to any necessary repairs.
Would also be great to mount in a frame and put on display given the historic significance of the original first Macintosh Model M0001! All photos of the exact item buyer will receive.
This is for parts, restoration, or display only, it is NOT a currently working board, has Sad Mac RAM error, and NO ROM chips. Never upgraded or modified, no repairs. The 4-digit date codes on the chips/sockets on the board indicate from week 19 up to mid 30's weeks of 1984 range of production for the chips or connectors by their manufacturer, so this board would have originally came in a Mac that was made at some point after that. The RAM chips have Apple logo and are date coded 8434 indicating week 34 of 1984 production for those chips. The ceramic CPU has no date code but has 1983 copyright mark.Stored well and no corrosionor any damage, clean and excellent condition. Ports are all good, no corrosion or damage. Smoke-free clean dry environment. Photos of exact item buyer will receive.
Sold strictly AS-IS for parts/restoration/repair/display only. NOT a currently working board, no guarantees. Buy strictly at your own risk for possible repair or for display only. NO return or refund, no complaints after the fact. Board will be wrapped in new thick bubble wrap then securely packaged in new large Priority Mail box to protect in shipment.
