1984 Macintosh original 128K RAM motherboard from Model M0001 first Mac, date stamped 1983. Later revision 128K boards were date stamped 1983-84, and could be configured with either 128K or 512K RAM, this is the early 128K only.
Board is very nice and clean, undamaged. When last tested with good ROM chips installed it began to boot then failed. Now it does not boot, no display output, only a start up chime when powered on. Therefore, this board has issue beyond just common RAM chips failures, as it will not boot or display anything when used with known good power supply and monitor. The original socketed ROM chip set was removed as shown. All photos of exact items buyer will receive.
Would also be great to mount in a frame and put on display given the historic significance of the original first Macintosh Model M0001!
This is for parts, restoration/repair, or display only, it is NOT a currently working board, does NOT boot, and has NO ROM chips. Never upgraded or modified, no repairs. Smoke-free clean dry environment The 4-digit date codes on the chips/sockets on the board range from 8336 to 8409 which is week 36 of 1983 to week 09 of 1984 production of the chips by the manufacturers, then of course they still had to be shipped to Apple then installed on the board and then board put in a Mac, so this would be from a Mac after the latest chips on the board were produced, still fairly early in 1984. The CPU is date coded 8406 for week 6 of 1984 production.Stored well and no corrosionor any damage, clean and excellent condition. Ports are all good, no corrosion or damage. Smoke-free clean dry environment.
