I am not an estate sale company, garage seller, or \"green recycler (LOL ..... Really)!, I do not sell not-tested items at top dollar! I actually know what I am doing! I do not offer items as \"Smoke free, pet free\", and have a separate buyers ID! All Macs I offer have been machine washed, and properly serviced!

My wifeand I have been collecting and selling on since 1997. I havebeen repairing Macs since the early part of 1986, which includeddozens of the 128k Macs.

Thislisting is for an OUTSTANDING 1984 Macintosh 128k model M0001 in itsoriginal shipping container and original accessories, it wasmanufactured (or final assembly happened) during the 44th week of 1984.Allplastics (including the keyboard , mouse, and external housings)received a thorough machine wash, followed by a detailed handcleaning. The Logic Board and Analog Board, were cleaned with alcoholand compressed air. The early 128k Logic Board, has the 128k342-0220-A and 0221-A ROMs, not the “B” versions

The internal 400k drive was completely disassembled, hadthe disk chassis cleaned and re-lubricated, had the read and writehead cleaned, and had the circuit board cleaned with alcohol. The RFIshield for the Logic Board has no de-lamination, which is a verycommon problem.

The battery compartment and contacts are very clean, with just a slight loss of coating on the contacts, please see thepicture below.

Cosmeticallythe unit cases are in phenomenal condition, beautiful color! There are areas that have extremely faint surface scratches,in fact they were so faint, I could not get them to show up in thephotos. There are other small dimples and scratches, but they areunderneath the bottom of the cases. The worst of of any visibledamage can be seen in the first two Photos below, on the right sideof the rear case there is a dimple, and the top left hand vent has asmall wavy area that was caused sometime ago by a bad capacitor thatwas replaced. And yes, the rear case has all the molded signaturesof the original Macintosh design team, just as all Macs made in1984/85 do.

TheFloppy EMUis the best thing to happen to the 128k and 512k Macs since, well, anything!!! (Google it to find the store: BMOW). It will ship in itson box. This floppy disk Emulator is the cat\'s meow! Transfer diskimages you\'ve downloaded from the web onto the SD card, then Plug theSD card into the emulator, and in less than 30 seconds you arerunning that file on your 128k!!!! . I\'ve mounted it securely in a1984 M0130 400k external drive case with the original cable, it is avery secure installation. Color wise it is slightly yellowed, butstill a good match for the Mac. Here is a list of images on themicroSD card-

MacintoshTour (January1984 System 1.0)

System1.0 (Version .97 14 January 1984) NOTE:There is somecontroversy in the community as to whether or not this System 1.0 isin fact the original pre-release, with items added from latter Systemreleases? The Sysversion application is from 1986? I installed thisversion on the Floppy Emulator because I thought it looked prettynifty with the scripted font that looks like the pre official Macrelease photos. It does sometimes freeze the Mac when using it andthe Internal 400k drive at the same time.

Theoriginal keyboard (week 43) and mouse(week43)arein the Styrofoam shipping containers, however the cardboard sleevefor the keyboard container is missing, if I locate it I will updatethe listing. The mouse had the ball, rollers and servos cleaned, thestandoffs on the bottom look as if they\'ve had no use. The keyboardhas had the circuitboard and keys individually cleaned, no grime ordirt residue on the keys, no dander, no hair, no spilled drinks. Bothare a great color match for the Mac itself. Both work great. In thephotos below you can see the condition of the boxes. The Mouse sleevedoes have the typical slight tearing on the ends. The containersare in outstanding condition as compared to the majority still beingoffered. style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; font-weight: normal; line-height: 150%\">

TheAccessories Container and accessories, are in great shape. It does have surfaces scratches that extend into the dyed (logo) areas, and there are yellowed areas, with slightdistortion in one area on the bottom half, but it is still completelydisplay worthy. Please see the photos below.

The original Systemdisk (Version 1.1g May1984), MacPaint, MacWrite, and System/MacWrite/MacPaint backup diskshave been tested.

Theoriginal User\'s Guidehas slight marks on the front and rear covers and slight handlingwear. It has no marks on the pages and no writing in it. It is ingreat condition with no missing pages, and no writing in it.

Theoriginal MacPaint and MacWrite Guidesare in excellent condition, with some slight marks and a small amountof brown age spotting. Please see the photos below.

Included is the programersswitch, a testedMacintosh/MacWrite/MacPaint Tour cassette, and thecorrect 90 degree angled Applepower cord .

Theoriginal shipping containerwith foam insertsfor the 128k is overall, in great condition considering it is nowover 32 years old. There are areas where liquid was spilled on thecontainer, and it produced some very dark edge staining, The veryouter edges (which were the worst) where treated with a lite bleachsolution and then coated with white leather shoe dye because itstrengthens the paper after the liquid damage (it is a plastic likecoating). One hand hold and flap were torn, however they were gluedback together and reinforced with clear tape. BUT,even with the discrepancies, every logo on the box is undamaged, there is no writing on it, and it is not full of stickers,as compared to almost all that have been listed, it is in beautifuldisplay worthy condition! Please view the photos below.

Lastlyfolks, there is no such thing as extended testing with software, orhardware diagnostics, to guarantee you will receive a Mac that willfunction for years, months, or even minutes.

If you run these machines formany hours, especially the Mac 128ks / 512ks / and Mac Plus, sincethey have no fans, they get EXTREMELY HOT, and what you get in returnfor a supposed extended test, are machines that are not guaranteed tolast that much longer, but in fact, guaranteed to fail that muchsooner. They are old all die sooner or latter.

Letme take this opportunity to dispel a myth. TheMicron MT4264 chips on the boards were NOT terrible chips. Ifyou say that, then the Mitsubishi and NEC chips were also terrible!Apple used Micron MT4264s in almost ¾ of their 128k boards! So yes,you will see more failures with MT4264s! But the problem was not withthe chips, it was the fact that the little Mac 128k, had no COOLINGFAN! The chips worked as they are/were supposed to.

Thatbeing said, I believe that this 128k will hold up better than anybeing offered right now. I went through everything on the analog andlogic boards!

Withthe Floppy EMU, this would be a great functioning centerpiece inany“Tech Firm”lobby, I have sold many that already are, and myMacs are in several Museums around the would!

I believe that this little1984 Macintosh would make a great addition to any Apple collection, and is rock solid when compared to anything out there!
